- Why did you choose to become a coach? I became an academic coach so that I would be able to help students navigate the same struggles that I faced my first semester of college. I did not expect the transition from high school to college to be so difficult, and I didn’t know who I could turn to. I want students to feel like they have someone in their corner and to know that I am there to help.
