Instructors are encouraged to add the following description of the Dennis Learning Center into course syllabi. If your syllabus currently contains information about the DLC, please make sure it is accurate per the information below.
If you would like to improve your learning, motivation, or organizational skills, I recommend meeting with an academic coach from The Dennis Learning Center (DLC), a part of the College of Education and Human Ecology. The DLC provides one-on-one peer academic coaching services to students to help you be more efficient and effective in your studies. Academic Coaches are trained to consult and support students in areas such as time management, academic motivation, focus and concentration, test preparation, reading, and note-taking.
