EPL 259 “Learning and Motivation Strategies” course and Individualized Services are two great resources for boosting study skills! There are advantages for utilizing one or both of these resources. It is up to you to determine what would work best for you.

Advantages of Outreach and Individualized Services~

• Talk one-on-one with a Learning Specialist about your unique concerns related to your academic performance.
• Focus on the study areas of most importance to you.
• Schedule as many follow-up appointments as you need.
• Schedule appointments when you have time.
• No need to fit another class into your schedule.

Advantages of EPL 259 course~

• Five-credit letter-graded elective course that covers a variety of study strategies in depth.
• Students meet twice a week in the Walter E. Dennis Learning Center for 2 hours.
• Students can complete most of coursework during class time.
• Students who take the course earn GPAs for the quarter that are over half a letter grade higher than their prior cumulative GPA.
